How to apply for CPA?
Brief Introduction
  • Examination qualification requirements can be generally divided into "degree requirements" and "credit requirements". General requirements: Bachelor's or soon-to-be bachelor's degrees. Associate degrees are allowed in some states (e.g., Vermont State)

The Registration Process
  • 1. Confirmed credits: total credits, accounting credits, business credits;
    2. Select the state to apply for: prepare transcripts, academic qualifications and degree certificates, and select the state to apply for;

    3. Educational background evaluation:

    (1) degree certification (about 2-6 weeks) : the application form, dollar bills of exchange, seal degree transcripts sent to both FACS

    (ForeignAcademicCredentialsService) or other application state can accept education agencies

    (2) formal credit evaluation (estimated to take 4-6 weeks)

    4. Examination registration: obtain credit evaluation report, register for the examination (3-4 weeks is expected) : NewHampshire,

    Colorado, Guam, IL, etc.;

    5. Receiving the admission ticket (about 2-8 weeks) : the registration is successful, please note down the SectionID;
    6. Test reservation;
    7. Visa application: prepare visa materials to obtain a visa to the United States (there is a time interval between the appointmentand

    the in-person visa application at various American consulates in China. It is recommended that you make an appointment in

    advance and reserve one month for the in-person visa application);

    8. Schedule your trip: book your flight and hotel (we generally recommend that you book your flight and hotel after you get

    your visa, although the price of your flight may vary, it is safer to do so). ;

    Take the test: you don't have to travel to your state to take the test. You can take the test in approximately 300 Prometric centers nationwide.
